Glorious music lies just ahead in our Sacred Choral Treasures concert on Sunday, March 9! You’ll savor several movements from the divine All Night Vigil by Sergei Rachmaninoff, one of the most mesmerizing choral works ever written, sung in Church Slavonic. Surrounding the Vigil is the beloved Ubi Caritas by Duruflé, Busto’s buoyant Salve Regina, music from the Christiansens, and the joyful I Believe This is Jesus by Undine Smith Moore. Alternatively wistful and taciturn with soaring mezzo solo, A Drop in the Ocean by Ešenvalds sets the profound poetry of Mother Teresa, as Kevin Siegfried soothes our souls in Lay Me Low, “where the Lord can find me.” Join us on a cold winter afternoon for this marvelous musical mosaic.
