Meditations of My Heart seeks comfort and reassurance in God’s strength in the title piece by Elaine Hagenberg, music by Berger and Mealor, Salutation by Esenvalds, and the rarely heard O Holy Lord written in 1916 by Canadian-born Black composer, R. Nathaniel Dett. You’ll hear powerful music by Rosephanye Powell, local composer Sergei Khvoshchinksy, and Durufle’s Pie Jesu with soaring soprano solo in remembrance of those lost in 2020 to our pandemic and social unrest.
