All That Hath Life and Breath

Join us in reveling in Spring and the beauty of God's creation, even as we dwell in the weariness and challenges of the past year. You’ll hear God Is Seen by Alice Parker, finding His presence both in lily and thorn, an ethereal Peace on Earth by Errollyn Wallen revealing a troubled world in bleak winter longing for light and peace, and My Heart Be Brave by Marques Garrett setting courageous poetry by James Weldon Johnson. Excerpts from Five Mystical Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams feature Baritone soloist Philip Zawisza, illuminating the poetry of George Herbert, as Javier Busto, a self-taught Spanish composer, offers an inventive and beautiful Ave Maris Stella. We honor two choral legends through the lush Nunc Dimittis in memory of Robert Scholz, and mark René Clausen’s retirement through his iconic Set Me as a Seal and vibrant All That Hath Life and Breath Praise Ye the Lord that compels us to shout to the Lord, Alleluia! We round out our spring serenade with Elizabeth Poston’s Jesus Christ the Apple Tree and The Ground by Ola Gjielo declaring that “Heaven and earth are full of your glory.” Join us!
