All That Hath Life and Breath [Cancelled]

As spring blossoms, we lift up our voices to life, love and renewal in this spirited serenade! Echoing from Scandinavia, we long for emerald meadows and glittering sunbeams in Grieg’s Last Spring and Stenhammar’s Seraglio Garden, as Sven-David Sandström reveals an otherworldly New Heaven and a New Earth. In honor of René Clausen’s retirement as Conductor of the Concordia Choir, you’ll hear his jubilant All That Hath Life and Breath, Children of the Heavenly Father, and colorful Song at Dusk, along with his dramatic five part Mass for Double Choir, a sonic feast for the ears penned in 2011. A trio of Spiritual Songs by Kenneth Jennings sets devotional poetry by George Herbert in Love, The Call, and proclaims “let all the world in every corner sing” in Antiphon, as Moses Hogan reminds us to Walk Together Children to the promised land.
