My Song in the Night

Experience choral beauty to soothe the soul and warm the heart as we sing of love, longing and gratitude. You'll hear Spiritual Songs by Kenneth Jennings, Paul J. Christiansen's My Song in the Night, and a Norweigan folk song by Grieg. Our longing for home and lost love burns deeply in the nostalgic Shenandoah, She Moved Through the Fair, and in Stephen Paulus' The Old Church. We premiere The Want of Peace, a gorgeous setting of Wendell Barry's poem by local composer Matthew Olson. Entwined in this innovative program are solos and small groups of voices with strings (all kinds!) in an inspired musical feast in the splendor of St. Bart's Catholic Church.
